Pastors Christopher and Lydia Torres were openly called into the pastorship over a decade ago.  They pastor Restoring Life Church, which conducted its first worship service on September 29, 2013.  Pastors Chris and Lydia were ordained as ministers in 2011, by Global Impact Group, which provides apostolic oversight of churches and ministries in North and South America, and conducts evangelistic outreach and ministerial training in the United States, China, India, and Latin America.  Pastors Chris and Lydia have been married 27 years and have two sons in college.

Pastor Chris holds a B.A. in Social Science with a concentration in Economics from New York University.  He also holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and is a shareholder with a leading, international law firm.  Pastor Chris is currently pursuing a Masters of Theological Studies at Regent University School of Divinity, concentrating in Christian Theology.  Before pastoring, he developed and worked in Men’s Ministry, Marriage Ministry, a youth basketball program, and he create a Forum on Science and Faith with fellow brothers in the faith, one being a Ph.D. applied physicist and another being a Ph.D. materials scientist.

Pastor Lydia is a former Elementary and Junior High School Principal. She holds a B.S. in Education and a minor in Sociology from Baruch College. She also holds two Masters Degrees from City University of New York, one in Early Childhood Education and another in Administration and Supervision. 

In addition to pastoring Restoring Life Church in Riverview, Florida, Pastors Chris and Lydia separately lead Covenant Marriage Ministry, which has been in existence for more than a decade, and they have been involved in marriage ministry for more than 15 years.  They periodically conduct weekend marriage conferences under the title, “Making a Marriage: What Scripture and Science Teach.” In these conferences, they apply both the soundest biblical principles with the best available scientific research on marriage.  Both Pastors Chris and Lydia are certified PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) instructors.
